Martin Oswald sold the Riverside Grill in Basalt last summer to Andy Hopp and Claire Clarke, who changed the name to the Tipsy Trout. Last Saturday, the establishment on the banks of the Fryingpan River held a soiree that gave Oswald the opportunity to thank loyal customers who had patronized his business, many of whom became good friends.
“It was such a great ride to have that restaurant for 15 years,” Oswald said. “It was amazing to see the local community coming in year after year and sometimes day after day. It’s really fascinating to have had the privilege of owning a restaurant like that.”
