Mountain Family Health Center hosted a grand opening soiree Monday at its new digs in

Basalt. The 9,000-square-foot facility, located below Stubbies Bar in space owned by Pitkin

County government, will offer a wide array of integrative health services, including medical,

dental and behavioral for pretty much everyone, especially the medically underserved. The new

facility will be able to serve more than 3,000 patients annually.

The event was a who’s who is Roaring Fork Valley luminaries, many of whom spoke at the

dedication ceremony, including Pitkin County Board of County Commissioner member Patti

Clapper, Eagle County manager Jeff Shroll, Mike Kaplan, CEO of Aspen Skiing Company and

Carbondale City Trustee Jenny Lang.
