Looking for an excuse to get wet, muddy, dirty and feel good about yourself while doing so? Well, happy news, as the 21st-annual Fryingpan River Cleanup is set for Saturday, April 27. Volunteers of all ages are welcome. Join the Roaring Fork Conservancy for a free breakfast before cleaning up a one-mile section of the river.

Breakfast and registration start at 8:30 a.m. near Lions Park and the Midland Spur side of Basalt Town Hall. Teams of 3-4 people are arranged, assigned about one-mile of river and head out to clean up around 9:15 a.m. Entries of trash for prizes must be registered at Lions Park by 11:30. Winners will be announced at 11:45. Must be present to win.

Because weather can be unpredictable, please be prepared with proper clothing, including: long pants, gloves, hat, sunscreen, proper footwear, drinking water.
